The Ixil Super Xtreme SX1 full exhaust is the lastest development from Ixil. Staying true to racing design Ixil has developed the newest addition to the range to be a true underbody design. The SX1 comes complete with stainless steel headers, carbon fiber muffler body covers for aesthetics, and a removable db killer. The SX1 offers a sound and look no other exhaust on the market can offer. The new super xtreme SX1 will be available early march 2015 for select sportbike models.

I installed this exhaust on my 2010 Z1000 in about an hour and a half. Everything fit just right. I had purchased new factory exhaust gaskets before I ordered this and I highly recommend you have them on hand before the install. This exhaust lightened my bike by 20+ pounds and sound great with the baffle in. With the baffle out, it is not neighborhood friendly. I spent an hour+ riding after the install and love it. I used a M18 X 1.5MM oil plug for the O2 sensor hole, removing the adapter that came with the system, before installing the plug. One note, one of the welds did have a few small pin holes in it, but I am a certified welder, so I spotted them, but most people would have overlooked them.

I installed this unique and well-built full exhaust on my Z1000 SX in a couple of hours; removing the right side fairing provides easy access. The lower exhaust fairing is not used once the SX-1 is installed. The sound is authoritative without being obnoxious, and it is not intrusive at all at cruising speeds. In town, there's no question you've got an aftermarket exhaust, but people didn't seem to be disturbed by it. The fit and build quality are both excellent. Improved handling from the weight saving was immediately obvious. And I can see my swing arm now! Perhaps because mine is an early ship, there were no instructions. The included hardware kit with an M6x70 bolt, two spacers (one tapered), and a nut is a mystery - what's it for? I could not find a use for it during the install. I reused the stock M10 hanger bolt, which fit perfectly, but requires a locally sourced M10-1.25 flange nut. US riders will need an M12-1.25 plug for the O2 sensor hole; I found an automotive 65263 oil drain plug works perfectly.
